Fred N7FNC has made some Railroad frequenciesavailable as of 03/06/2000: Greetings friends, DE/N7FNC. In the files folder I have uploaded two files containing radio frequencies used by Union Pacific RR. As an employee I thought you all might like to listen in on what train and yard operations are like. (Ed. note: The files are also available here. See below.) The DRGW file contains frequencies used at Roper Yard, Salt Lake City and main line frequencies used by trains traveling between SLC and Grand Junction, Co. Also, "mobile-tel", old SPRR channel for trains between Ogden and Elko, NV and maintenance of way. In the UPRR file you will find frequencies used at North Yard and Ogden Yard. Main line frequencies used between Ogden and Green River, WY, between SLC and Elko, NV and Ogden to Pocatello, ID. All main line frequencies are passed by numerous remote base repeaters and are hard linked or microwave linked to main dispatch center in Omaha, NE. Hope you enjoy listening and perhaps you will hear me out there. Fred Aguirre N7FNC
