Next Meeting
Unless otherwise noted on this page or in the club newsletter, DCARC always meets on the 2nd Saturday of the month. Our next Club Meeting will be held at the Davis County Sheriff's Complex.

DCARC meetings are great fun and informative! We give door prizes away. (You must be a member to receive door prizes. Joining is easy and you can do it as you walk in the door... and enter the raffle at the same time!) We make announcements. We discuss upcoming club sponsored public service events. We recognize new members and new hams... and anyone who has upgraded since our last meeting. We often have contests going that you can join in on. We have a whole wall full of calendars to let you know what is coming up. Our club store is definitely worth browsing... And our speakers have great topics.

Please come join us at our next meeting. If you haven't attended a DCARC meeting lately, come see what you're missing! We believe you won't be disappointed!

To see when the next club meeting is going to be held, view the Events (filtered for just club meetings) section.  By clicking on the "Club Meeting" (next to the blue), you will see the event details (date/time/location).

ARRL Rocky Mountain Division Convention 2013 PDF Print E-mail
Tuesday, 07 May 2013 08:02

As you're probably aware, we're gearing up for an outstanding ARRL Rocky Mountain Division Convention to be held in Estes Park, Colorado, June 27-30, 2013.

Yes, you read those dates correctly!

Four days of amateur radio excellence jam packed with technical sessions and forums, a very rare WWV tour, a Denver ARTCC (Air Route Traffic Control Center) tour, superb speakers, W1AW/Ø operations, vendors, exhibitors, a special DX University session, a prominent storm chaser (Tim Samaras of the Discovery Channel), contests, QSL card checking, a silent auction for radios, a visit to the Estes Park Astronomical Observatory, and much more.

We had 500 attendees here in 2009 (the division convention is in Colorado every 4th year), and we're expecting around 650 this time.  Our confirmed exhibitor list now includes Arrow Antenna, Flex Radio Systems, Ham Radio Outlet, Icom, Pixel Technologies, RT Systems, Southwest Antennas & Accessories, US Tower, Yaesu, several other pending exhibitors and a number of area clubs and organizations.

Did we mention prizes?  We’ve got a ton of GREAT prizes to win!

We'd be honored to meet you and the other Davis County ARC members at this stellar event!  Would you please consider forwarding this message to your members, and posting it to your club web site?  We've got some nice web site banners, and if you'd like to include one of those, please let me know and we'll send them to you right away!
