The three best ways to learn about Amateur Radio are to listen to hams on the Amateur bands, read about Amateur Radio in the numerous books and magazines devoted to the subject and, best of all, talk to hams face-to- face. You might consider coming to a DCARC meeting to meet some friendly hams! Hams take pride in their ability to "Elmer" (teach) newcomers the ropes to get them started in the hobby. See the DCARC Education pages. To find out how just how easy it is to get started, please contact one of the DCARC Officers!
See the ARRL's page about Ham Radio.
