Dear Club Members and Community Friends,
The Davis County Amateur Radio Club (DCARC) is pleased to announce our participation in the annual ARRL Field Day, taking place this weekend. After thoughtful discussion and consideration, the Field Day Committee has decided that DCARC will participate on Saturday only, June 28, 2025.
Despite efforts to encourage participation across both Saturday and Sunday, the committee concluded that a single-day event would best serve our club this year. We appreciate everyone’s input and enthusiasm throughout the planning process.
On Saturday, we will be setting up and operating three stations—voice, digital, and CW—consistent with our past Field Day operations. The event will run from 12:00 PM to approximately 9:00 PM, after which we will begin equipment takedown.
Saturday, June 28 Schedule:
- 9:00 AM – Arrival and setup begins
- 9:00 AM – 11:30 AM – Station and booth setup
- 11:30 AM – 11:45 AM – Final station checks
- 12:00 PM – 9:00 PM – Station operations (Call Sign: K7DAV)
- 2:00 PM – Educational Session: Engaging the Public About Amateur Radio
- 6:00 PM – Dinner (BBQ meats and sides provided by the club; please bring a side dish or treat to share)
- 9:00 PM – Equipment takedown
