Below is a list of Committee and their General Responsibilities
Club Meeting Programs Committee – The Club Meeting Programs Committee assists in suggesting topics for monthly club meetings, DCARC Tech net and other programs. This committee also assists in finding presenters and other resources for presentations.
Club Store Committee – The Club Store Committee assists in running the club store. Responsibilities include inventory, purchasing appropriate materials, setup/take down of club store during club events and meetings, and selling these items to club members and the general public.
Education Committee **NEW** – This is a new committee to DCARC. This committee will be responsible for identifying education opportunities (i.e. Ham 101 classes, license classes and other learning opportunities) creating or finding appropriate curriculum and recruiting instructors to teach these topics in person, via web conferencing or in a self paced style environment.
Elmer Committee **NEW** – Also a new committee to DCARC. The members of this committee will identify and recruit HAMs to become ELMERS. The committee will also take requests from the HAM community and match the requests to the appropriate Elmer.
Field Day Committee – The Field Day Committee organizes the club annual Field Day activities. This includes our remote station, an in-town station and any home/web activities for the ARRL Field Day Weekend.
HF Remote Station Committee **NEW** – The HF Remote Station Committee is established to create a proposal, research best practices and create a budget for the building and setup of a HF Remote Station. This station, once established, will be available to the members to use.
JOTA Committee – The JOTA Committee supports the annual Jamboree on the Air Scout program. This committee works with local Scout troops to introduce Ham Radio to youth and get them on the Air.
Photography/Videography **NEW** – The Photography/Videography will assist in taking pictures and video for use by the club on social media platforms, the web and print publications. This committee also provides graphics and video to document the work of the club during the year.
Public Information Committee – The Public Information Committee assists to establish relationships with government agencies, media and the general public. They also assist in coordinating club messages and communication.
Repeaters Committee – The Repeaters Committee works to ensure Club repeaters are maintained and working well and available to the Ham Community.
War Wagon Committee – The War Wagon Committee works to ensure the War Wagon is up and running and available for use by Club Members. This committee will also work to maintain other mobile assets including the antenna trailer and the mobile repeater.
