The Davis County Amateur Radio Club sponsors a full service Education Program.  We can help you learn all you need to know to get your Amateur Radio license.  Once you’re ready to take your written test for a license, you’ll want to know when and where the test sessions are held.

This “Exam Sessions” page tells you all about DCARC’s Radio Exam Sessions, commonly called VE Sessions. VE Stands for “Volunteer  Examiner”.  DCARC’s VEs are fully certified to conduct official tests recognized by the FCC and our VEs will submit your test scores to ensure you’ll get your callsign as soon as possible!

DCARC conducts official W5YI VE test sessions four times a year on the first full week’s Wednesday of March, June, September and December.  Testing is always scheduled to begin at 7:00 pm.  These tests are normally conducted at the Clearfield City Offices on the 2nd floor.  The address is 55 South State, Clearfield, UT.  Pre-registration for these sessions is required at  This site also explains fees and ID requirements.

If you are ready to take a test sooner than one of our scheduled exam sessions, you can probably find another session conducted elsewhere in your area.
