Davis County Amateur Radio Club is very honored to be designated by the ARRL as a Special Service Club. At our meeting on October 8, 2022 Club President, Larry Claussen KV7LC, received in the mail a certificate and designation letter from the League. What is a special service club? They are the leaders in the Amateur Radio communities who provide active training classes, publicity programs and actively pursue technical projects and operating activities.
We would like to thank the ARRL for this designation. We would also like to thank Ted Cowan, NA7C, who services as the Affiliated Club Coordinator for the Rocky Mountain division of the ARRL who encouraged the club to apply for this designation. We also would like to thank Pat Malan, N7PAT, who is serving as the Rocky Mountain Section Manager for tracking down the certificate while he was at ARRL headquarters.
