In an FCC filing dated October 15, 2020 the FCC proposed a rule change to CHARGE a $50 on amateur radio license and applications. A number of members of our club voiced concern about this proposal and the ARRL has now added their voice of concern. We encourage any interested community member to follow the instructions found in the ARRL article to voice your opposition to the proposed rule.
If this change were to occur it could lead to a significant negative effect to new members of our hobby. Let’s get the word out and submit our objection to the FCC. All comments are due to the FCC by November 16, 2020.
