Field Day is THIS Saturday and Sunday and DCARC is working hard to make this a great event. Here is some information for you!
Location: Kaysville Jr. High School Parking Lot and Grass Area — 100 E 350 S, Kaysville, Utah 84037
Times and Dates: Field Day officially starts for us in Utah at 12:00 pm, Saturday, June 25, 2022 and runs until 12:00 pm, Sunday, June 26, 2022
We will drop some things off at the school on Friday, June 24, 2022 but the majority of the setup will occur Saturday Morning, June 25, 2022. Club Members will start arriving at around 7:30 am. Please come help if you can!
Food: We are going to have a club POT LUCK dinner on Saturday, June 25th beginning at 6:00 pm. Please bring something to share! If you don’t have any ideas here are some for you. If your last name begins with A-I bring a main dish, J-Q bring a side dish, Q-Z bring a dessert. On Sunday morning, June 26th Breakfast will be provided by the Club.
Operating: This event is for EVERYONE to get on the air! We will have the following stations for you to try out and work
– GOTA (Get On The Air) — For all of our community friends and neighbors. A licensed HAM will be there to help you operate and get on the air.
– VOICE — The voice station will be located in the BOT (Bag of Tricks).
– DIGITAL — Chuck’s Rigs will be hosting a data station where we will make contacts using digital modes
– CW — Morse Code will be up and running in the War Wagon.
Please visit any of these stations and DON’T FORGET TO GET ON THE AIR!
Suggestions: Bring what you need to have fun. We will be operating for 24 Hours straight. Kaysville Jr. High has a lot of grass and some shade. Feel free to bring your Chairs, Pop Up Tents (and other shelter), Yard Games, Frisbees, Playing Cards, Tables, Chairs, Bug Spray, Sun Block, Hats, WATER, and other food to keep you going through the 24 hour period. Don’t Forget to bring your Friends and Family!!!!
Activities: The Club is planning on a couple of education seminars, an evening movie and lots of time on the air. We also have use of the large open area where we can all have fun with outdoor activities. We are open to other ideas so bring your ideas and gear and lets have some family/friends appropriate fun.
WE NEED YOU: We need you to show up, bring your family, bring your friends. This is a COMMUNITY FRIENDLY event and we WANT you to be there!
